Check out the Toolbox!

The DiverCity ToolBox is a fundamental element, a cornerstone, upon which all the activities of the project will develop. It sets a basis of practices, approaches, tools, and methodologies that the partners have developed in their previous projects and will help the consortium have a more holistic understanding and strategy in the design and implementation of all the project activities.   This ToolBox is heavily based on cooperation between the partners, where knowledge and experiences are shared in order to create an effective action-based methodology on youth social inclusiveness. As such, the ToolBox incorporates tools and methodologies that shall be implements on the local participatory actions and adapt them to the local contexts. The Toolbox then brings together non-formal educational tools and resources that have already been used locally or want to be implemented. Local Participatory Activities

Since August, the DiverCity project has entered the participatory phase across four countries, engaging with local groups in various settings: In Solsona (Spain), the focus is on young women in rural areas. In Athens (Greece), the project targets young women in urban areas. Weimar (Germany) is working with young women with migrant backgrounds. Brussels (Belgium) is collaborating with teenage girls. DiverCity's Training of the Trainers in Sabadell From September 25th to 27th, an exciting and enlightening event unfolded in the charming city of Sabadell — the Training of the Trainers for the DiverCity project. A total of 14 passionate individuals representing four dedicated organizations — Estel (Spain), Urbana (Greece), CGE (Germany), and Urban Foxes (Belgium) — gathered to embark on a journey of knowledge exchange, tool testing, and tool creation. The training aimed to empower youth workers with innovative urban perspectives, testing the waters of a unique toolbox and forging new tools. The journey began with a comprehensive introduction to urbanism through a gender lens and the art of placemaking tailored for young people.     But this wasn't just any training — it was an opportunity to hit the streets of Sabadell and explore the city through the gender perspective. The experiences and discoveries were nothing short of captivating. Despite the high quality and comfort of

September has arrived and all 4 DiverCity partners are now preparing for the Training of Trainers (ToT) activity that will take place in Sabadell! The preparation of the training materials has started. The thematic areas to be covered are public space and youth, public space and gender perspective, and tools and methodologies for participatory urban planning. The importance of the ToT is crucial because of the upcoming local activities that will take place in the following months in Thüringen (Germany), Brussels (Belgium), rural Catalonia (Spain) and Athens (Greece). The local activities will focus on participatory urban planning workshops with young people (especially young women) in the local communities/neighbourhoods. Young women are traditionally excluded from decision-making processes in the urban planning of public spaces. The main objective of the local activities is not only to actively involve them in the process and methods of urban planning, but also to imagine and demand
