Reflecting on the Success of the DiverCity Project's Multiplier Event in Athens

We are pleased to share a recap of the recent multiplier event hosted by the DiverCity Project in Athens on June 27, 2024. This event served as a pivotal moment in our ongoing efforts to promote gender equality in urban planning.

Embracing Collaboration and Innovation

The multiplier event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including young activists, local organizations, and council representatives. Together, we explored ways to integrate gender perspectives into urban development strategies.

Introducing "DiverCity: Youth for Gender Equal Cities"

A highlight of the event was the launch of our new manual, "DiverCity: Youth for Gender Equal Cities." This comprehensive guide features insights from four countries and presents 20 innovative tools designed to incorporate young women's perspectives into urban planning processes. It also includes our manifesto, outlining our vision for inclusive and equitable cities.

Thoughtful Discussions and Insights

Throughout the day, participants engaged in insightful discussions on the evolving role of gender perspectives in urban planning. We examined the importance of inclusive decision-making processes and discussed strategies to empower young women as leaders in their communities.

Looking Forward

As we reflect on the success of this event, we are encouraged by the enthusiasm and commitment shown by all participants. The connections made and ideas shared in Athens will continue to drive our mission to create cities that cater to the diverse needs of their residents.
